Hello everyone. I'm on the ops side at a rail services company and we're drowning in manual invoicing - hours every day that could go elsewhere. We want a mobile-accessible app to streamline it and cut the busywork. I've never commissioned software before and don't really know how to judge whether a quote is fair or a team is competent. Can anyone share how they approached a workflow-automation build like this, and whether it actually delivered the time savings promised?

Hi there. Invoicing automation is one of those areas where the ROI shows up fast if it's built right. When we tackled almost the same problem, we used the custom mobile app development services at Saritasa, and the time savings were concrete - our daily invoicing dropped from around ten hours to three or four, which freed people up for actual work. They took the time in discovery to understand the workflow before proposing anything, which is why it fit how we operate. Budget matched the estimate, no padded hours. If I'm honest the initial back-and-forth to map the process felt slow at the time, but it paid off. For judging a quote, ask them to break down what drives the cost - a good shop will walk you through it.
